Rope Mesh Catalogue Reaches 35 Items Covering Zoo Safety Fencing, Handrail Railing and Slope Protection

2026-10-23

One Product Family, Many Duties

Rope mesh is the generic name for hand-assembled stainless steel cable netting, and its versatility is why a single factory catalogue can serve fencing, railing, safety and slope protection at once. Anping Yuhan currently lists thirty-five rope mesh items, built on AISI 304 and 316 cable from 1.5mm to 3.2mm in ferruled and woven formats.

Ferrule versus Woven Construction

Ferrule construction locks each cable intersection with a stainless sleeve, producing a dimensionally stable diamond that resists distortion under repeated load. It is the correct choice for animal enclosures and safety barriers. Woven rope mesh, where cables interlace without sleeves, offers a softer visual texture and slightly more flexibility, and is often preferred for large-scale architectural and slope protection surfaces where the mesh follows uneven ground.

Slope Protection Applications

On steep terrain, rope mesh functions as a flexible drape that holds loose rock and vegetation while allowing drainage and plant growth. The high open area means it does not trap water, and stainless construction avoids the rust staining that mars galvanised alternatives on long slopes. Typical specification is 2.0mm to 3.0mm cable at 50mm to 58mm aperture, anchored with edge cables and rock bolts at three to four metre centres.

Quality Points Buyers Should Check

  • Cable grade and mill certificate matched to the stated AISI number
  • Ferrule crimp integrity, verified by sample pull test
  • Consistent aperture across the panel, measured diagonally
  • Edge cable diameter adequate for the panel area
  • Finish uniformity on black oxide and coated variants

Ordering

Thirty-five rope mesh items, with custom aperture, panel size and finish, are exported from Anping Yuhan with CE declarations and mill certificates. Project drawings or site photographs help the team propose the right construction type before quotation. Enquiries via stainlesssteel-ropemesh.com.

Tensioning Sequence That Protects Geometry

Rope mesh geometry is set during tensioning, not during manufacture. Tighten turnbuckles in small increments working from the centre of each edge outwards, checking the diagonal dimensions as you go. Panels should reach final tension only after the frame is fully fixed, otherwise frame movement will redistribute load and leave visible slack in one corner.
